Olbrich's Holiday Express

Closed on December 25.
Open from 10am – 4pm daily.
Large scale model trains wind through an enchanted land of colorful poinsettias and holiday trees. Fun for all ages.

Zoo Lights Henry Vilas Zoo

Now - December 29, 2019 Hours Thursday- Sundays: 5:30pm-9:00pm Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with one of the most unique events in Madison! This is one-of-a-kind festival of lights! Sip on hot chocolate and stroll through the zoo at night while seeing over 800,000 holiday lights!
Come see the zoo like you’ve never seen it before!

Holiday Fantasy Lights

The lights go on each evening at 4pm and run through January 4th at Olin Park.

A Madison Symphony Christmas

December 13- 15 This beloved annual tradition embraces the season with Christmas classics and enchanting new music featuring the orchestra, three choruses and opera stars. From caroling in the lobby, to the final sing-along, you will be energized with holiday spirit when you emerge from this concert.

The Nutcracker, Madison Ballet - Overture Hall

December 20-28.
Madison Ballet rings in the holiday season with this timeless story filled with some of literature’s most treasured characters. Children will marvel at a towering Christmas tree and Mother Ginger with her playful Pulcinellas. Adults will be thrilled by the athleticism and romance of classical ballet, set to Tchaikovsky’s familiar score, played by the Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra. A trip to Madison Ballet’s Nutcracker in Overture Hall is an unforgettable experience for everyone.
